I received an IRS letter saying that my form 5500 was not filed. The letter is IRS notice CP216F.

A few other clients have received the same IRS notice CP216F. This notice confirms that the IRS accepted the extension that we filed. It appears there was some internal mix ups/delay with the IRS, since the extensions were filed prior to the July 31st deadline, and the deadline for filing was October 15th.
